Dialysis Unit

The kidney unit at KMC houses 12 dialysis machines for acute dialysis done at ICU and chronic dialysis done at our unit. The unit is staffed with full-time dialysis staff nurses and medical supervision, and conducts over 600 sessions a month. Kidney transplants are performed, as well, regularly at KMC.  The staffs in medical – surgical are trained to all required competencies for their units, which include:

  • Administration of intensive chemotherapy
  • Chemo certified.
  • Venous access device (Certified).
  • Pain management techniques
  • Physical Assessment
  • Unit-base procedural competency

Maternity, Nursery and Neonatal Unit

The department consists of an examination room equipped with monitoring devices and ultrasound, this room leads to a first stage delivery room which in turn leads to theatre and three delivery suits. All rooms and facilities necessary to assist in maternal and fetal monitoring and resuscitation. The hospital is currently. On the way to establish a fully equipped I.V.F unit that includes necessary laboratory, storage, and analysis.

Cath Lab. Unit

Cardiac Catheterization diagnostic and interventional laboratory Amman hospital has always distinguished itself by keeping up with scientific and technical advances in the medical and surgical fields. The vascular Catheterization laboratoryat Amman hospital is a two room modern facility equipped with the most advanced machines and monitoring system and is capable of handling all vascular procedures diagnostic and interventional(PTCA & Stenting).

The emergency Unit

It consists of two rooms: well equipped for any emergency as accidents, chest pain…..etc. the other room is actually a surgical theatre in which operation can be done once it is needed immediately.

Nursing Services

The Department of nursing services is committed to provide Amman Hospital with a team of highly qualified and motivated nurses that are going to play an important Role in establishing an excellent base for comprehensive nursing care  in Jordan and the region.
 
 
The scope of patients care services provided by Nursing includes:
  • Assessment of patients
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care
  • Administration of treatments and therapies
  • Patient and family education
  • Discharge planning
  • Nursing care is provided on a 24 hour basis to patient from infancy to old age
  • Nursing care is provided only under a Direction of Registered Nurse after passing all required pre-identified competencies.
  • Nursing care begins with assessment and recognition of patients priority need, development and implement of a plan of care to address those needs and finally the evaluation of the effectiveness of the plan, discharge planning, patient teaching with collaboration with the multidisplinary team to provide quality of care
